Description:
Our Summer Intensive Program is designed to provide in depth training for ALL aspects of the sport to help competitive athletes prepare for the competition season, to become stronger, improve their body skill technique, learn new apparatus skills as well as new rhythmic acrobatics skills, become a better dancer and overall a more knowledgeable gymnast. To achieve these goals we developed a program with these components outlined below:

Body Skills Technique

Rhythmic gymnastics has three groups of body skills: turns, balances and leaps. This part of the program will focus on improving basic technique of all those skills as well as learning new body skills gymnasts will need in their competitive routines.

Flexibility

It is one of the main components of rhythmic gymnastics. It is necessary to be flexible to learn most interesting and exciting rhythmic gymnastics body skills. Stretching techniques and secrets used by Russian rhythmic gymnastics stars will be used to take every gymnast’s flexibility to the next level.

Rhythmic Acrobatics

Besides the basic cartwheels, walkovers and rolls rhythmic gymnastics has the most exciting and interesting acrobatic tricks. Girls will learn such things as “flying bridge”, “fish flop”, “dive roll” and more things only known in rhythmic gymnasts.

Ballet

Ballet is essential for gymnasts just like it is for dancers. Our experiences ballet teachers (as well as invited guests) will provide the training and technique of the highest caliber to achieve our goals of:

  • Developing technique, proper placement, strength and poise necessary to successfully learn rhythmic gymnastics body skills (turns, leaps and balances).
  • Perfecting arms, core and legs positions to develop correct execution of those body skills.
  • Learning to use correct muscle groups, “feeling” your entire body during body skills. Creating the quality of movement. Musicality.

Apparatus Technique

There is no rhythmic without rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon! It is important to learn proper technique of handling the apparatus to be able to do most fun and interesting apparatus tricks. Our superstar coaches will provide the highest quality of apparatus training to learn most amazing and breathtaking rhythmic tricks.
